WEMA Bank Graduates the Youth of Nigeria

WEMA Bank Plc, Nigeria’s largest and most innovative financial services provider, in its bid to empower and graduate the youth of Nigeria, announces its call to interested candidates who are youthful, highly ambitious, resilient and dynamic Nigerians between the ages of 21 and 35 years to apply for WEMA Bank’s Graduate Trainee Programme that is designed to groom young Nigerians into leaders who will take charge of leadership roles at WEMA Bank in the next five years.

The New WEMA Banking Strategy

There’s been a lot of buzz about WEMA Bank in recent years, and for good reason. In 2013, it became the first bank in Africa to use blockchain to facilitate secure banking transactions; since then, it has been named as one of Forbes Magazine’s Top 100 Best Banks in Africa. Now WEMA is expanding its services—and hiring new employees.

 

In order to meet its mission and satisfy customer demand, WEMA has launched a graduate training program that provides young people with free university educations in exchange for three years of paid employment at WEMA after graduation. It’s open to all Nigerian citizens between ages 18 and 25 who are interested in building a career in banking.

 

In exchange for three years of employment with WEMA, graduates will receive four year’s worth of free university education. They will also have access to free vocational training and on-the-job learning opportunities, plus unlimited job placement assistance after graduation. Upon successful completion of their first three years at WEMA, graduates will be eligible for a 10% salary increase.

 

Required Qualifications For Applicants

Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized institution in Nigeria; Must be under 35 years at time of recruitment.

 

The programme will be recruiting 120 candidates for Intake 14 (January 2019) across various States and FCT in Nigeria. You should be a high school graduate with at least 5 O’ level credits (including English and Mathematics). All candidates must be under 30 years old and have at least 1 year working experience. How To Prepare For The GTNP Exam

To ensure that you score high on WEMA’s Graduate Trainee National Professional Examination (GTNP), it is important to understand what you will be examined on and how to prepare for each section. Here is a breakdown of all five sections, with tips and strategies for success: Quantitative Ability This section tests your ability to solve complex mathematical problems using basic algebra, geometry, probability, statistics, and calculus.

 

Reading Comprehension The Reading Comprehension section tests your ability to read and comprehend written materials. It includes question types that ask you to identify information, synthesize information, analyze situations, and recognize organization. The questions can be drawn from several subject areas including biology, business technology, environmental science, politics and current events. The number of passages in a reading comprehension section varies with each exam but usually consists of five different texts.

 

Analytical Writing This section evaluates your ability to solve problems and write analytically. You’ll be asked to respond to multiple-choice questions in two writing tasks, one that measures your ability to analyze an issue based on written information, and one that measures your ability to interpret and follow a set of written instructions.
