How do you get involved in the GLP 2022?

The GLP 2022 is open to everyone, in every country and of every age! While most people will join as leaders in their local communities, we encourage everyone to reach out and organize their own groups or be part of others. To get started, you can reach out to other GLP 2022 members in your area and set up a local GLP 2022 Facebook group (or use the hashtags #GLP2022 or #GLP2022LOCAL). A Google document is also available online where you can find existing groups and add yours to it.

Why you should get Involved with GLP 2022

The future of our planet depends on what we decide to do now. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to serve humanity and help ensure we meet that goal, then consider applying for Generalalkopho Leadership Program (GLP) 2022. Through GLP, young adults will work with leading scientists and engineers from around the world to identify solutions to pressing global issues like energy usage, hunger, poverty, natural resource management and more.

What are GLP Consideration

GLP consideration is a requirement for all GLP candidates, and is calculated on several factors: an applicant’s GPA; standardized test scores (the GLP requires SAT or ACT plus two writing tests); extracurricular activities and awards; volunteer work experience; letters of recommendation from teachers, employers or other community leaders; and a personal essay. Qualifying candidates are then interviewed in person by a member of GLP staff.

To qualify for a GLP consideration, applicants must have a 3.5 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale) from an accredited high school and have earned ACT composite or SAT total score of 1200 or above. They must also submit three letters of recommendation, which can come from any teacher, employer or other community leader who can attest to their character and their willingness to be challenged both in and out of school.

Once an applicant’s GPA, ACT or SAT scores and letters of recommendation have been verified, they will be invited to schedule a personal interview. There is no fee to apply to, and be considered for, a GLP consideration. The online application is available year-round and can be submitted at any time.

Subject requirements

English level Intermediate to Advanced, 15 – 35 years of age, friendly personality. Must not have a criminal record. An ability to pass a background check is essential. Individual must be available approximately 1-2 hours a day during normal business hours (local time), Monday through Friday as well as some evenings and weekends throughout 2018, 2019 and 2020. Must have at least basic computer skills including an internet connection for remote collaboration with other leaders around globe during that timeframe.

Must be willing to travel at least a total of one week per year for training during 2018-2020 for up to six weeks. Subject must meet all requirements as described and be accepted by The General Kopho Leadership program (GLP) 2022 Review Board. The recommendation of a close friend or relative, member or affiliate of The General Kopho is not required, but will help with an accelerated review and acceptance process for applicant. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into GLP program.

Is there an Application Process for The Glp Program 2022?
The GLP application process is an open, ongoing process to which anyone interested can apply at any time. The website will have a portal to submit your applications. It’s always best to get ahead of deadlines so please check back periodically for updates on what is due when (it will be posted on our main page too)

There is a one time non-refundable fee of $50 for an application. The registration fees will be refunded only if more than two weeks notice is given and provided that your seat can be filled by another applicant. Applications for an upcoming session can’t be changed or cancelled as once submitted, all applications become a binding contract between The Glp Council and it’s respective member applicant.

Who should apply in 2022?

Everyone between 16 and 22 years old who is interested to be part of a worldwide leadership program. This can be a challenge for many young people, but with commitment and motivation, it can definitely be done. The goal is that everyone should attend at least one event (meeting or retreat) during their participation in GLP 2022. Those who are really committed to become world leaders should therefore organize such an event for themselves and/or friends.

Also, it is recommended that your country has participated before or have at least one member of GLP 2021 attend at a national event. If you do not meet these criteria, then reach out to someone who can help you determine if it’s right for you. The application deadline for attendees to apply is March 31st 2021 and all selected applicants will be notified by April 28th. Applicants must accept their invitation by June 30th, with logistical details provided via email after acceptance.

When does the application process open up again?

The application is currently ongoing now in 2022 . They are accepting applications for three months every year. So, it’s not too late to apply. If you want to apply, keep an eye out for our next open period. We will be sending out information via email and social media as soon as we have more details about when applications will open again.
