THE UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT IS SET TO RESUME IT’S 2021 ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES FROM MONDAY 1st OF FEBRUARY 2021.

After much deliberations between the Students’ Union Government, Quality Assurance/ Quality Control, Deans of Facilities and University Management, the following were resolved with respect to the resumption of academic activities in Uniport.
According to SEN.COMR.EMENIKE PROMISE DAVID AG. Director Of Information who disclose this information said “In the remaining four weeks to conclude the first semester, we shall continue with the first semester timetable.
“There shall be no physical classes in these four weeks for Undergraduate students. Clinical students were not discussed.
“Lectures should be by voice note (WhatsApp) or video note( WhatsApp)for mathematical courses. Students should be advised to set up WhatsApp platforms for the different courses where these will be uploaded.
“Lecturers should give their lecture notes to the students at no cost and Students should also be encouraged to read their textbooks eg GES books.
“Lectures commence on Monday, 1st February, 2021.
“For practical classes, Departments may choose to assess students with the work they have done so far or round up with alternative to practicals. After much deliberations, faculties of Agric, Pharmacy, Law and Department of Human Kinetics were permitted to continue with their practical classes due to their peculiarities.
“Every student must wear his/her mask properly (cover nose and mouth) when in the company of people. Keep physical distance of 2m, wash hands with soap under running water and use alcohol based sanitizer to wipe their hands as often as possible.
“Assignments will be given in lieu of Continuous Assessment. An assignment should be given at the end of every week.
-We shall not implement 75% attendance of lectures to qualify a student to write exams.
“Students shall continue to study at night in approved classes. However all COVID 19 protocols are to be observed.
“At all times we must endeavour to comply with The Presidents Covid-19 Health Protection Regulations, 2021.

The following time I learn a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one.
