About the facilitators

Nigel Russell: CyberSecure Canada Regional Advisor. Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada / Government of Canada.

Nigel is a Policy Analyst and CyberSecure Canada Advisory based in Calgary. Nigel works with small businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs to help them navigate federal programming on cybersecurity and digital adoption to ensure their needs are best met by the Government of Canada.

Before supporting small businesses in the prairies, Nigel worked for the Public Health Agency of Canada as an Analyst and for the Conference Board of Canada as a Research Associate. Nigel holds a Masters of Public Policy and Administration from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Policy Studies from Mount Royal University. 2022 Canada Study Permit – How To Apply

CyberSecure Canada is a lite-touch cyber security audit designed specifically for SMEs and start-ups who want to ensure they are cyber protected.
