Babcock University, Nigeria Needy Students Fund Scholarships

The Babcock University, Nigeria Needy Students Fund Scholarships will provide needy students with financial assistance to pursue their tertiary education.

About Babcock University

Adventist College was founded by the Seventh-day Adventist Church as a liberal arts institution. 

The college’s first classes were held on September 17, 1959, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. In 1970, the college was renamed Southern College of Seventh-day Adventists. 

 

In 1995, the college relocated to its current campus in nearby Collegedale, Tennessee and was renamed again to Southern Adventist University. In 2007, the university again changed its name to Babcock University. In 1966, the university graduated its first set of Bachelor of Arts degree holders.

 

This was a major milestone for the school, as it marked the first time that it had granted degrees in its own name. The graduates were a testament to the hard work and dedication of the school’s faculty and staff, and they were eager to begin their new careers.
