Open Call for Applications – PYES Recruitment 2022/2023 Application Form Registration Portal. The PYES is aimed at creating at least 774,000 empowerment opportunities over a period of two years through direct youth empowerment, according to the coordinator.

Overview

The Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (P-YES) is structured as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative conceived and designed by the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Youth & Students’ Affairs (OSA-PYSA).

• There exists in Nigeria a large army of youth who have attained the status of economic hopelessness and despondency.
• These vulnerable youth  have become ready resources for the propagation of criminal activities.
• Successive empowerment programmes seem to have excluded this category of Nigerian youth.
• P-YES is designed to capture this excluded category of youth who are in urgent need of immediate intervention and rescue.

PYES Registration Requirements 2022

To qualify to apply for the Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (PYES), you must be a Nigerian female or male, and within the ages of 18-40 years. This, as stated in the Nigerian National Youth Policy, is the “Youth Age”.

1. You must show the basic ability to learn and be teachable, you must have at least one valid means of identification, could be National Identity card, International Passport, or Permanent Voters Card – PVC).
2. You must also provide a Second Level Beneficiary (SLB) to qualify to benefit from the scheme.
3. You must show the ability to communicate in Basic English language and or any other local Nigerian language.
4. Provide proof of upright character and a stable mind.
5. You must provide a guarantor, preferably one who’s a religious or community leader.
6. You must be able to secure the endorsement of a local government official.
7. You should possess the ability to transfer knowledge and mentor peers within your community.
8. You must Complete the guarantor’s form.

Application Closing Date

The registration deadline for PYES has not been announced yet.
