4. Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (PYES)
The Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme, PYES is a scheme structured as a Public-Private Partnership initiative. The PYES initiative is coordinated by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Students Affairs (OSAPYSA) powered by the office of the Secretary to the Federal Government.
The scheme aims at largely creating opportunities for Nigerian youths.
5.Special Public Works (SPW)
The Special Public Works Program, is a 3 month program in which each of the beneficiary would be paid a monthly stipend of N20,000 as part of the President Mohammadu Buhari’s palliative measures to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on vulnerable Nigerians.
The programme approved by Mr. President was designed to mitigate lack of job opportunities in the rural areas through a short-term engagement of One thousand (1,000) unemployed persons per Local Government Area for a period of three (3) months. It is a dry season/off season transient job programme and was originally designed for the rehabilitation/maintenance of public and social infrastructure.
