Livelihood Programme 2022 – this application is open to interested and qualified Applicants from Ogoni to apply for the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) livelihood programme for an opportunity to get trained in Aviation, Seafarers, Creative Arts And Mechatronics & Instrumentation Training.

Who is HYPREP?

HYPREP was established under the Federal Ministry of Environment to achieve the under listed objectives in Ogoniland and other impacted communities:

determine the scope, means and modalities of remediation of soil and ground water contamination in impacted communities as may be recommended by HYPREP Governing Council and remedy them

enhance local capacity for better environmental management and promote awareness of sound environmental management as well as ensure livelihoods and sustainable development

ensure security and promote peace building efforts in impacted communities

strengthen governance, transparency and accountability in the region.

The Livelihood Programme 2022 Training Criteria

1. Mechatronics & Instrumentation Training
Are you from Ogoni? Here is an opportunity for you to be trained in Mechatronics & Instrumentation.

Applicant must be at18 years and above Must be physically fit Must have a minimum of a credit in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English language.

Further Mathematics is an added advantage. BSc or HND in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering is also an added advantage.

Applicant is to apply for only one (1) training. Double application will mean an automatic disqualification.

2. Creative Arts Training
Are you a vibrant, young, and charming Ogoni youth with the desire to join the Entertainment Industry,
Your dream can be realized through the HYPREP Livelihood Programme in Creative Arts (Entertainment, Acting, Music etc.)

Applicant must have a minimum of a credit in Five (5) subjects including English Language, Literature.
Ability to speak other Nigerian Languages is an added advantage
Must be from Ogoni
Must be 18 years and above

Criteria are as follows;

Must be between 18 and 35 years
Must have a good command of the English Language
Must be physically fit And at least 5.2 meters tall

4. Seafarers Training
Are you from Ogoni? Here is an opportunity for you to be trained in Seafaring:

Applicant must be
18 years and above
Must be physically fit
Must have a minimum of a credit in Mathematics, Geography, and English language.
Further Mathematics is an added advantage. BSc or HND in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering is also an added advantage.
