Beneficiaries will receive trainings on risk assessment and the preparation of a business continuity plan. Successful completion of the trainings qualifies you to apply for the Business Recovery Support (GRANT MATCHING SCHEME) under this project.

Locations: Must be located in any of the project states (Gombe, Kano and Edo states)

Qualification:

  1. Women-owned SMEs are those SMEs in which Women own 51% or more shareholding in the enterprise.
  2. Women-led SMEs women must own at least 20% of the shares.
  3. The enterprise must also have at least one woman in top management positions (COO/CEO/President/Vice President) or 30% women membership in the Board of Directors (where the board exists).
  4. The SMEs must be active in the business sectors of agri-business, education, health, textile/garments and energy
  5. Must have between 2 and 100 staff.
  6. Must not be involved in providing financial services and charging interest (like conventional banks, and insurance companies) or involved in any other business not approved under the Shari’ah (including the manufacturing, selling or offering of liquors, pork, haram meat, or involvement in gambling, night club activities or pornography.
  7. Must be a registered enterprise (business name, partnership or limited liability company).

Required documents:

Women-owned/led SMEs must attach the following documentations:

Certificate of Incorporation from CAC

SMEDAN certificate

Company brochure with list of products and services

Memorandum of Association (CAC stamped) which shows women own 51% or more shares in the enterprise

Where the SMEs has less than 20% of female share ownership , then it must also have 1 woman as CEO/COO/President/Vice President and has at least 30% of the board of directors composed of women, where a board exists. ( attach list of women in management position and board membership signed by the Managing Director)

Professional license to operate (health, education, energy etc.)
License to operate (NAFDAC, franchise, Distributorship)

Tax Identification Number

Evidence of rent payment or ownership of the place of business

Annual Report and Audited accounts where available

Bank statement for last 12 months (stamped & signed by the bank)

Where the SMEs is registered as a business name (with more than one owner) or partnership, it needs to attach agreement between proprietors/partners of the business showing the percentage of share ownership. The agreement must be signed jointly by the proprietors or partners.
