Youth who are working, jobless, or underemployed are encouraged to take part in a free online agribusiness training program run by IITA and Ecobank.
PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The training, focusing on aquaculture, horticulture, poultry, and value addition will be open to youths between the age of 18-40 years.
This training offers participants an opportunity to learn new technologies along the focus value chain, build business skills and competencies in agribusiness mgt, mentoring, and coaching opportunities, linkages to finance, exposure to business plan development,&loan application.
Note: There will also be post-training support to improve start-up identity and market linkages.
The Agribusiness training courses are designed to give students the knowledge and abilities they need to excel in the agricultural sector. Agricultural production, marketing, sales, financial management, and sustainable agricultural practices are just a few of the subjects that these programs frequently cover. Universities, non-profit groups, and commercial businesses may all provide them.
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is a non-profit research institution with a mission to advance natural resource management, decrease hunger and poverty, and increase agricultural productivity in Africa.
