YAAP program cohort 2 Application Portal, Requirements and Guide

Application is now open for youth between the age of 18-29 years to participate in the special YAAP program cohort 2 with BicFarms in Ogun State.
This is a golden opportunity to become a farm manager.

OVERVIEW

The IFAD Agrihub Nigeria project aims to provide young unemployed Nigerians and aspiring agripreneurs with the skills they need to start their own businesses or find jobs in the agricultural sector. The project seeks to enhance young people’s quality of life in the rural economy through a number of its efforts. Agrihub wants to run an inclusive approach that offers chances to those with less formal education.

The IFAD’s Agrihub initiative, in collaboration with the BIC Farms Concepts, is offering kids (both male and female) a comprehensive curriculum on Soilless vegetable gardening in an effort to promote young interest in agriculture. Graduate Trainee Program | Dangote Group

The program combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training and internships. The chosen beneficiaries get knowledge about starting businesses or finding work in the agricultural sector through the training.

Eligibility

Beneficiaries should be between the ages of 18 and 29.
Youth must be passionate about agriculture, especially renewable energy solutions relating to agriculture and its value chain.
The beneficiary must be unemployed when applying.
Beneficiaries must possess at least a junior or senior secondary school certificate and be literate in English or the local language.
Applicants resident in Siun/Ogere and Abeokuta, Ogun state (locations of the training facility) will be given preference.
Applicants must have access to a functioning mobile phone.
Participants must be physically and mentally fit to participate in all aspects of the training. Applicants with specific disabilities are also encouraged to apply. However, this must be clearly communicated during the application period.
Applicants must be ready to commit three months to this program.
Applicants must be willing to undergo an internship in relevant machine fabrication companies.
