According to  https://www.facebook.com/277440662983430/posts/951081592285997/,  A source informed Newsmen that some of the traders quickly shut down and left the vicinity as no one was on ground to explain how the body arrived in the market, or what could have transpired.

It was gathered that some of the market leaders mobilized and alerted the Okporo Police Division which dispatched some officers who took the corpse away.

However, a shop owner beside the market, simply identified as Alhaji, said: that the Hausa vigilantes who secure the market at night had allegedly stabbed the man after he and his gang attempted to rob a rice shop by the market.

Alhaji also said that the suspects had clashed with the market security, but were overpowered by the superior force of the vigilantes.

“Sadly one of them sustained serious cuts and started bleeding profusely. His colleagues abandoned him and ran away.”

Alhaji also disclosed that the mobile phone which was found on the deceased was handed over to the police for thorough investigation.
