DR PANTAMI URGES FIRE SERVICE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ECC, MAKES A CASE FOR THE DEPLOYMENT OF FIRE FIGHTING TRUCKS IN GOMBE STATE.

In line with the Digital Nigeria agenda championed by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami FNCS, FBCS, FIIM today paid a working visit to the Fire Service of Nigeria Corporate Headquarters, Abuja.
The Honourable Minister, Dr Pantami while making his remarks during the working visit urged the service to take full advantage of the Emergency Communications Centres (ECC) with the 112 Toll-Free Number which is in existence and active in the Federal Capital Territory and other 19 states.
The Honourable Minister also made a case for the deployment of Fire Fighting Trucks in the North Eastern State of Gombe and further pledged commitment to support the automation of the service processes in a bid to enhance efficiency in service delivery to Nigerians.

On his part, the Controller General, Fire Service of Nigeria, Liman Alhaji Ibrahim appreciated the Honourable Minister, Dr Pantami for the visit and promised to ensure Fire Fighting Trucks are delivered to Gombe State.
