Under the WorldBank-supported Innovation Development & Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project, approved in 2020, the Federal Government of Nigeria promise to invest $200m in 6 participating states (Abia, Benue, Ekiti,Gombe,Kano, Edo) as well as 20 Federal Science & Technical Colleges nationwide.

The Innovation Development & Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project will strengthen the skills of 50,000 Nigerian students & enhance the capacity of technical teachers to better equip them for jobs in the formal and informal sectors according to World Bank.
The project will give Nigerian youths the opportunity to acquire hands-on skills to effectively contribute to national development.
