The State Governor, Sen.Prof Ben Ayade has commended efforts of registered private security outfits for their contributions in the security subsector and the supervisory role of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps in the regulation of private guards adding that its collaborative role will enhance the success of homeland security services in the state.

The governor stated this in Calabar while declaring open the 2020 Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)/ Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners Association of Nigeria (ALPSN)retreat held at the channel view hotel in Calabar.
He was optimistic that the state will soon overcome some of the security challenges as a blue print and strategies to curb the menace has been worked out in collaboration with service commanders.
The speaker of the state Assembly represented by the chairman House committee on security Hon Albert Ayabem lauded the choice of the State for the retreat and pledged more partnership with them through proper legislation to curb crime.

The Representative of the Hon Minister for Interior Ademola Adeyinka promised to tab on the wealth of experience of licensed private security owners since most of them were retired security personnel.
