In line with the mandate granted by His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara Governor of Rivers State and Visitor to Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola, Port Harcourt, for recruitment of Staff;

 

The Management of the Polytechnic hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons for appointment into the following vacant positions below

• Medical Officer 11
• Pharmacist
• Nursing Officer/Staff Nurse/Staff Mid Wife
• Medical Laboratory Scientist
• Medical Laboratory Technician
• Pharmacy Technician
• Auxiliary Nurse

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Medical Officer 1R
11; CONMESS 02 (CONTEDISS 9)
Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree and
registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

Pharmacist – CONHESS O8
Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (B.Pharm) and registered with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria and NYSC Discharge or exemption certificate.

Nursing Officer/Staff Nurse /Staff Midwife –
(CONHESS 08/07)
Candidate must possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Nursing plus registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) or staff Nurse/Midwife with Nigerian registered Nurse (Nigerian Registered Midwife) (NRM) certificate.

 

Medical Laboratory Scientist – cONHESS 08 Candidate must possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, registered with the Institute of Medical Laboratory Scientists (IMLS) and NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Must be computer literate.

Medical Laboratory Technician – CONTEDISS 6
Candidate must possess a National Diploma/National Technical Certificate at credit level.

Pharmacy Technician – CoNTEDISS 06
Candidate must possess a National Diploma or National Technical Certificate at credit level
Health Records Assistant – cONTEDISS O04
Candidate must possess WASC/SSCE/NECO and National Certificate of the Nigerian Health Records Association/Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria having completed training in a recognized health institution.

 

Auxiliary Nurse – coNHESS 03
Candidate must possess FSLC/JSC or minimum of 5 credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in VWASC/NECO and must have training certificate in Auxiliary Nursing from a certified Health Institution/Hospital.

 

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

All successful candidates will be placed on probation for two (2) years continuous service on assumption of duties to the retiring age of 65 years.

Persons above 50 years of age need not apply.
Other conditions of service are similar to those obtainable in the Polytechnic in Nigeria regulated by the National Board for Technical
Education (NBTE) and the Rivers State Public
Service.
